A Few Photos

After some deliberation I have decided to post a few of my pictures from Iraq. These are not special, and I don't think they show anything sensitive. Yet these photos represent a long sweaty and rather lonely period of my life. But what do you expect? I am an Infantryman, not a combat cameraman. I took these photos with a 3.2 megapixel digital camera and then later cropped them with Windows imager. So for what they are worth I am posting a few select ones.

I am an amateur writer with no literary credentials. I did my undergrad work in theatre (tech theatre mind you), and international relations (double major). Of course a MFA isn't a requirement to write. So I've been writing over the past few years and given this new age of copyrights I have technically already published a great number of poems on my Myspace page. Just because I "published" them doesn't, of course, make them any good. Since I wouldn't be able to submit these works in any form to a journal I have decided to post the edited and polished works here.

My creative process is a slow one and I find writing to be a difficult chore, but this doesn't keep me from wanting to write more. I am also rather busy with the whole Army thing, I am currently serving out the remainder of my five year contract in Germany.
